Clinton St. Baking Company

Made a reservation a few weeks in advance for my birthday. It was for 8:30. We got sat immediately. Zoey was a great server! Food wasn’t all that special though. My husband had the pancakes and I had the Spanish scramble. We have had better food in our hometown. It was very busy though I will say that. I did put down it was my birthday in the Resy reservation but there wasn’t any acknowledgment! I think we may try to go the Bubby’s or a different restaurant next time!

I went on a crowded day. But thankfully I was by myself and there was space at the bar. The chicken and waffles was delicious. And I got the unlimited coffee. Delicious!

Food was decent and service at the bar was fine. The probably came when our transaction posted to our account and we left a 15% tip service was not outstanding and was rather minimal. We were charged 20% to our card. This is fraud to charge an amount to our card that was not authorized. Whether they feel entitled to a higher tip or not a 20% charge when I authorized 15% is fraud.

As a local it is very sad to see a restaurant that tourists flock to take advantage of their customers. One may differ on our perspective on tipping culture but this boils down to ethics, principles, and legality. Someone closed their register and inputting tips each night and chose to do this.

To put things into perspective our bill was 2 people with two entrees and a chai latte. Food was fine but we both have had much better. Menu specified parties of 6+ would get gratuity. We sat at the bar and were given little service that was fine and did not upset us but also didn’t wow us. We are a young couple and tip 20+% often when service is great.

Clinton St. Baking Company is a must-visit for brunch lovers! The pancakes are fluffy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The eggs and other breakfast dishes are fresh and well-seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. A perfect spot for a relaxed and delicious brunch in NYC!

it's not worthy for RESERVATION or LONG-TIME WAITING. I regretted TRUSTING recommendation from those YouTubers. I did reservation for 2 so when we came they assigned us a 2-people table fast but they didn't reserve the table in advance without waiting but the gap between tables are embrassing close so you can easily hear any communications from another table especially if they speak loudly... for the food they're sooooo OVERRATED and OVERPRICED. I prefer going to Denny's or any other store. their pancake is like 7-8/10 but still not worth for 20 US dollar and the sauce on side taste sooo weird and for their bennedick, i am shamed of their selling price as 24 us dollar even in my opinion it's only worth for around 10 us dollar... the corn bread is sooo hard, even harder than corn bread forn Montana's BBQ(another restaurant but cheaper anr even huge portion) and the ham is also so dry and almost hard as hard as bacon...

Amazing brunch food. Pancakes are great, but the honey butter sauce is astounding.

Blueberry pancake is very good. reserve table is recommend.
